A touch of Paris in the Goulburn Valley

Shepparton was treated to a taste of French entertainment on Friday night when Paris Underground came to the Eastbank Centre with their cabaret show - Encore.

Formed in 2015, Paris Underground have been performing to sold out venues throughout the country. They are a small group of performers that are big on talent. Among the stars are the sultry vocalist Aurora Kurth, theatre performer and tap dancer Eden Read and circus artist Hannah Trott.

The burlesque costumes and dancing is comparable to Moulin Rouge, while the acrobatic skills and magical acts complimented the performance perfectly. There was also some slapstick comedy and audience interaction that kept everyone in stitches throughout the night.

However, there were some darker moments as the title would suggest. It exposed some gloomy secrets in la Ville Lumiere - the City of Light, allowing a glimpse into some taboo and decadent Parisian desires.The journey was mesmerizing, almost voyeuristic, and well worth the ride.

Paris Underground is currently touring around Australia.
